| Don Venne has been playing music for over 45
years, and during most of that time, he has been listening to acoustic music. (Say it now,
he doesn't look that old, does he?) Sometime in 1979, he was driving down Penn Avenue in
Richfield, MN, and he noticed a sign for a store called the Homestead Pickin'
Parlor. He stopped in and met Marv, and has been hanging around the place ever
since. When his wife can't think of gifts to give him, she stops by to see Marv and
Dawn, and they have always solved her dilemma. Don
believes one can never have too many instruments, recordings, strings, capos, and other
symptoms of serious addiction to musical stuff.
Since he has a non-musical, non-techie day job, don't look
for high gloss web design here. This is a labor of love, borne out of affection for
HPP's role as center of an acoustic music community in the Twin Cities. (Translation:
High praise is accepted, suggestions for functional or content improvements are most
welcome, and notes regarding errors or outdated stuff are very helpful. However, if
you think we should have animated "Dancing Dylans" on the home page, we would
prefer that you keep that to yourself.)
Comments and suggestions should be made by e-mail directed
to the WebKeeper. |
