Just arrived from Sabine, Inc. The MetroTune MT9000 It’s A Chromatic Tuner –  It’s a Metronome –  It’s a Tone Generator

As a Tuner it’s completely automatic with a built in microphone and three color LED display to tell you when you are sharp, flat or right on.  It has a LCD display with simulated needle to +/- 50 cents accuracy.  You can manually calibrate it over a range of 430 to 449 Hz.  It boasts a 7 octave tuning range (A0 to B7) with a big note indicator to tell you the note to which you are tuning.  Automatic shutoff after 3 minutes saves batteries (2 AAA batteries supplied).

As a Metronome, the internal speaker produces a loud wood block tone with a sweeping pendulum LCD display together with 2 color LED display.  The tempo is adjustable from 40 to 216 beats per minute.  You can set the accented downbeats from 0 to 7 beats per measure with a variety of rhythm figures as your disposal.  

As a Tone Generator it as a 4 octave range from A2 to C6.  Again it can be calibrated from 430 to 449 Hz.  Perfect for tuning or ear training.

The MT9000 has a ¼” input jack for tuning instruments equipped with pickups or transducers or for use with isolation clips for precise tuning in settings with high levels of  background noise.  A mini-earphone jack is provided if you prefer to tune in privacy.  A built in stand is provided to allow the MT9000 to stand nearly vertical on a table-top allowing the internal microphone to point directly at the instrument being tuned freeing up both hands for the tuning process.

The MetroTune measures a mere 4” X 2 ½” X ¾” thick but has a delightfully sturdy feel to it.  It comes with it’s own carrying case and will fit in any instrument case we’re aware of.  Did we mention the two-year warranty?

We’ve been wondering what Sabine was up to as the size and price of tuners has been dropping recently.  Oh we of little faith!  They’ve done it once again.  If we sold the MT9000 at the manufacturer’s suggested retail price – it would still only be $39.95.  Of course, we don’t, and we suggest you call in your order today and be pleasantly surprised or stop by and check out the features for yourself.  Seeing is believing, and owning a Sabine MetroTuner MT9000 is being one fully equipped musician.
