Rich Smith has been playing the banjo since 1983, and currently performs in the bluegrass bands Blue Wolf and The Acoustic Company. In  addition to the banjo, he plays pedal steel and dobro. He teaches the  traditional Earl Scruggs bluegrass style of banjo, as well as traditional bluegrass DobroÒ.

For musicians interested in the pedal steel, Rich helps people get started with a one-time only introductory lesson including general information, tunings and techniques.
