Jim Plattes teaches swing fiddle, Celtic, old time,
bluegrass, country blues, Texas swing, Appalachian, country-rock, rock, jazz and
classical.
Jim has been performing professionally since
1972. He loves all kinds of music, and this is reflected in his playing. He
has studied violin with Richard Adams (Assistant Concertmaster, Minnesota
Orchestra) and fiddle with Vassar Clements. He leads two ensembles locally.
The Rustlers and The Larkspur Strings. His two original albums have received
airplay on KBEM, KFAI, WCCO and others.
