Brian Fesler started playing banjo in grade school and formed a band in Iowa with his sister and cousin. From there he played with regional bands until moving to Nashville, TN in 1986. He
traveled and performed with top national acts including the Gibson Band, Dusty Miller, the Lonesome River Band, the Kentucky Ramblers, the Charlie Sizemore Band, and Wild and Blue amongst others. Since relocating to the Twin Cities area, he has performed with area talent, and has been featured on numerous artists' recording projects, including Chris Silver, Brian Wicklund, Highwater, the Blue Drifters.
He has also worked with other bands outside of the traditional bluegrass vein, such as Taconite Haven, Arcana 81 and the Lorie Line Pop Orchestra.
Brian currently provides professional music instruction on banjo, guitar and bass to over 35 students on a regular schedule, and he enjoys working with everyone from beginner to advanced. |
