Welcome
to Homestead Online!
WE'RE NOW ON FACEBOOK.
No, it's not a result of the earthquake in Baja, California and we're
definitely not becoming techno-geeks, but we have kicked at the traces
of Ludditism. Paul Hatch blazed the way when he started the Homestead
Pickin' Parlor ‘Preciation Society Facebook Group from his Facebook
profile some months ago. It seems there's been some interest in that
group, so we have started our own page. Paul will continue to manage
the group page and will play a role in keeping our page up to date.
We'll try not to have duplication between the two efforts, but stop by
when you get a chance and if you like what you see, become a fan. The
information on the Facebook page will be different from what you
receive in the newsletter and you get a chance to provide us some
feedback on Facebook. We'll also keep you informed of the goings on
at Homestead via photos. Go figure! Our Web Site also continues in
force. People in the know simply say we're going viral.
Click the
Facebook logo to go to our page and join as a Fan.

OK,
so you missed Steve Kaufman this time -- April 2010 -- for his ninth

renowned Guitar and Mandolin instruction workshops.
The
good news is that we've already scheduled Steve to come back in 2011
for his tenth annual visit, and we're
announcing it right now, so you can mark your calendar. Details

The Hottest Thing in Tuners
|

The PT10 Clip-On Tuner from
Intellitouch
Clip-on tuners have become ubiquitous in the music world in recent years. If
you’ve not yet added one to your musical bag of tricks, intellitouch, the makers
of the original clip-on tuner have now given you a good reason for waiting – The
PT10.
The PT-10 features the now familiar LCD Screen that tells you what note you’re
closest to, but it changes color from red to green when you’re in tune. It is
accurate to within one cent. It has a seven octave range from 27Hz to 1,760Hz.
At 2” by 1” by ¾” it weighs in at a mere 2 ounces. A standard CR2032 Lithium
coin cell will provide 10 hours of continuous operation. An A-ref button will
allow you to adjust the reference pitch from 430Hz to 450Hz.
And we’ve saved the best for last. Intellitouch offers a LIFETIME WARRANTY on
the PT-10. In their own words “should this product no longer perform as
originally intended due to wear, workmanship or even accidental damage, return
it postage prepaid and we will repair or replace it at our option”
It’s available now - $ 39.95

Prices May Change -- Please Call
Recently a customer came in to get a book, and the price on the web site
was less than the current price. This sometimes happens when a
product is carried on the web site without looking at prices.
Therefore, please don't rely on the web price we show. If you call
(a good idea just to make sure we have your item in stock), ask for the
current price.
In other words, prices are
subject to change without notice. (Where have you seen that
before?).
Keep us up to date and spread the word.
Not surprisingly, we've found that folks change their internet providers
(hence their e-mail addresses) much more often than they do their snail mail
addresses. Should you do so, please drop us a note and let us know
where to re-direct our e-mail newsletters. In the world of acoustic music,
we can't afford to lose contact with a single one of our friends in the
music. And if you enjoy reading our periodic e-mail newsletters,
forward a copy to one or more of your friends. Have them send us their
snail mail address, along with their e-mail address, and we'll keep them up to
date on Homestead happenings as well.
Please pass along the Homestead URL -- www.homesteadpickinparlor.com --
to others. If they would like to receive the e-mail newsletter too, have them e-mail Homestead with their snail mail and
electronic addresses as well as a phone number. We'll make sure the next issue heads their
way. |
